Prague City Tourism dedicates its Christmas souvenirs to the legacy of T.G. Masaryk

3 December 2021, Prague - Prague City Tourism presents its latest Christmas souvenir collection, the next step on its path to cultivate tourism. Once again, these souvenirs were developed in collaboration with Prague creators. One of them commemorates the first Czechoslovak president T.G. Masaryk.

Today, Prague City Tourism presents to the public another series of tasteful souvenirs that are an integral part of Prague’s presentation.

Together with the renowned Prague bistro and bakery La Cucina, Prague City Tourism developed cookies based on the original recipe for the first Czechoslovak president’s favorite sweet treat which was discovered in the T.G. Masaryk Museum archives.  They also commemorate the First Republic period, when culture, art, design and architecture flourished in the country.

“This project is an example of Prague City Tourism’s philosophy to motivate visitors and residents alike to take a deeper interest in the history and culture of Prague and to use and present its cultural heritage in a new, modern way,” explains board member Jana Adamcová.

Studio Malíská presents Prague’s towers through seven golden symbols that decorate porcelain cups, created by painter and designer Lenka Sarova Malíská. A trio of new design postcards and magnets by Prague Merch Matouš Bitt depicts Prague under a blanket of snow. Simona Lore is the author of the illustrations.

“These new Christmas souvenirs are part of our new tourism strategy and how we want to present Prague to domestic and foreign tourists - with taste and authenticity. Today we are also launching a campaign for these limited-edition souvenirs, which will include a branded PPC campaign,” explains Michaela Henčlová, Director of Brand Management at Prague City Tourism.
