Company ID number: 07312890, registered office at Žatecká 110/2, Staré Město, 110 00 Prague 1, entered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague under file No.: B 23670 (hereinafter “Prague City Tourism”), the data controller, hereby takes the liberty of informing you, the data subject, about the methods and scope of personal data processing by Prague City Tourism, including the scope of your rights related to the processing of your personal data by Prague City Tourism.

What personal data about you does Prague City Tourism process?

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation; hereinafter the "Regulation"), and in accordance with the relevant national data protection legislation, Prague City Tourism processes such personal data that you provide to it in connection with the completion of the questionnaire on improving services in tourism:

  • Name and surname
  • E-mail
  • Telephone number

Prague City Tourism processes these personal data only in accordance with the purposes set out below and to the extent and for the period necessary to fulfil these stated purposes.

For what purposes and on what legal grounds does Prague City Tourism process your personal data?

Processing of personal data in connection with the completion of the questionnaire on improving services in tourism

  • The legal grounds for processing the personal data are based on the consent you granted to Prague City Tourism as part of the completion of the questionnaire.

Processing of personal data in connection with the handling of individual complaints

  • In connection with the handling of complaints, Prague City Tourism also processes personal data for the purpose of its legitimate interests in the event of possible related legal action.

For how long do we process your personal data?

  • Prague City Tourism processes your personal data based on your consent to such processing, and your personal data will be processed for a period of three years or until you withdraw your consent, whichever comes first. If you withdraw your consent, this will not affect the processing of your personal data by Prague City Tourism for other purposes and on other legal grounds, in accordance with this Information about Personal Data Processing. In this case, the processing period of three years also applies.

Who all will have access to your personal data?

In addition to Prague City Tourism and its employees, your personal data may also be processed by Prague City Tourism’s partners for the purposes described above. The external partners who may process your personal data as processors are carefully selected by Prague City Tourism, and it will only entrust your personal data to those processors that provide sufficient guarantees of adequate technical and organisational measures to prevent, in particular, accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure of, or unauthorised access to, the personal data transmitted, stored or otherwise processed.

Other entities that may have access to your personal data are, or may in the future be:

  • persons who ensure the technical operation of a particular service for Prague City Tourism or the operators of the technology used by Prague City Tourism for these services (typically programming or other technical support services, server services, e-mail distribution);
  • Prague City Tourism is also obliged to disclose some of your personal data on the basis of applicable law, e.g. to state administrative authorities, courts, and law enforcement authorities in connection with possible administrative, criminal and civil court proceedings.

What rights do you have in relation to the processing of personal data by Prague City Tourism?

You have the following rights as a data subject in relation to your personal data:

  • The right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time.
  • The right to access your personal data (the right to request information as to whether or not personal data relating to your person are being processed by Prague City Tourism and, if so, the right to access such personal data and other information pursuant to Article 15 of the Regulation);
  • The right to data portability (the right to obtain personal data relating to your person in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and the right to transmit that data to another controller; and also the right to have personal data transmitted directly from one controller to another controller where technically feasible);
  • The right to rectification (the right to request that Prague City Tourism rectify inaccurate personal data relating to your person without undue delay);
  • The right to restrict processing (the right to request that Prague City Tourism restrict processing if, inter alia, Prague City Tourism ascertains the correctness of data in relation to the right to rectification; or if personal data are processed unlawfully by Prague City Tourism but you do not wish to have them erased);
  • The right to erasure (the right to request that Prague City Tourism erase your personal data without undue delay if, inter alia, the personal data are no longer required for the purposes for which they were collected, or you have withdrawn the consent based on which the personal data were processed by Prague City Tourism and there are no other legal grounds for processing, or if the personal data are being processed unlawfully by Prague City Tourism);
  • The right to object;
  • The right to file a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection.
